However, the World Trichology Society (WTS) is working to change that. The ongoing mission of the WTS is to promote leadership in Trichology, the study of hair and scalp health, and excellence in client/patient care through education and advocacy. The 4th Annual World Trichology conference held on October 22-24, 2017 was a comprehensive international trichological meeting for the advancement of hair loss and scalp health knowledge. The conference was attended by an international group of certified trichologists, student trichologists, hair loss specialists, cosmetologists, as well as dermatologists, other physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners with an interest in assisting those affected by hair and scalp problems.

The World Trichology Society conference included presentations from some of the best-known names in trichology, dermatology, hair transplantation and hair loss research. Dr. Alan J. Bauman, a keynote presenter at this year’s conference, spoke about the advancements in PRP Platelet Rich Plasma for Hair Regrowth and guided the audience about what to say and do when speaking with men and women about different hair loss treatment options. The WTS President, Dr. David Kingsley, who organized and hosted the event was officially named as an honorary HAIR.University faculty member and presented with his official certification from Dr. Bauman. In addition, the WTS organization was acknowledged as a Bauman Alliance Member for their long-standing dedication to educating and helping men and women with hair and scalp issues.

Dr. Kingsley and his World Trichology Society was invited to join Dr. Bauman’s Alliance Member Program for the organization’s dedication to education in the areas of hair and scalp health.
