• Platelets, when ‘activated,’ release powerful molecules, growth factors and cytokines that can have profound biologic effects on hair follicles and skin.

• As part of hair transplantation, PRP can be used to store grafts while they are outside the body awaiting implantation, improve graft survival, and accelerate wound healing.
